Fundraisers
Missy Krupp opened her yard in St. Louis' Hill neighborhood to raise money for ovarian cancer awareness on July 23 with a washers tournament dubbed WOWW, or Washing Out With Washers. Missy, Jason Kempen and Jason Weintraub organize different philanthropic events each year and decided that this event would benefit a women's issue. None of them knew anyone diagnosed with ovarian cancer, but they chose SLOCA by surfing the web. Participants paid $10 to play and spectators paid $5 to be part of the fun. WOWW raised $588 for SLOCA.
