Commitment to Online Security
Physical, electronic and volunteer staffing procedures have been employed to safeguard the security and integrity of personal information. Donation, membership and shopping information is encrypted whenever transmitted or received online. Personal information is accessible only by board members and volunteers who are designated to handle online requests. All SLOCA agents and contractors with access to personal information obtained on the SLOCA web site are also bound to adhere to this policy.
Personal Information SLOCA May Collect Online
SLOCA collects the following types of personal information: names, postal and e-mail addresses, phone numbers, and donation/volunteer/billing information.
How SLOCA May Use Information It Collects
SLOCA will not use your personal information other than for the purpose for which it was submitted without your consent. We use personal information to facilitate gifts and memberships, reply to inquiries, provide services, and in program/event recordkeeping. We also process donations, memberships and shopping requests. You will receive printed and electronic newsletters and invitations to events. However, you may remove your name from our mailing list at any time by clicking the “Remove” link at the bottom of our electronic newletter or by contacting us at email@example.com
How Your Information May Be Shared
In order to process donations, memberships and shopping requests, SLOCA will transfer credit card information to process contributions. By completing a donation, membership or shopping form, or emailing us an inquiry, you are allowing us to forward your contact information to our treasurer, the board member who maintains our donor and membership database, and/or the board member who will be able to respond to your inquiry. SLOCA never sells or rents personal information. When you submit a form, your credit card data is encrypted, securely transmitted to the credit card processing system for approval, and redacted; no one with SLOCA views or retains your credit card information.
Help Us Keep Your Personal Information Accurate
If your personal information changes or you would like to review the personal information we may have on file, please email us with the new information or your review request at firstname.lastname@example.org.
